I wish I could read Chinese so I'd know whether the register is as badly off in the original as it is in the translation.
Still, entertaining enough, as long as you don't pay too much attention to the asininity of the court intrigue. #2026reads

5) Gabriel García Márquez: Rakkaudesta ja muista riivaajista (Of Love and Other Demons)
I've got some very big holes in my literary history, and South American literature is one of those. But I can report that I have now doubled the number of books by South American authors I've ever read. Woohoo?
4) Ginn Hale: Price of a Thousand Blessings vol. 1
That typo in the 1st post bugs me every time I see it, but this time, I do think I encountered a reading challenger, whatever that might be.
Clumsy prose, draggy plot. Not even the cliffhanger makes me want to read the next part.
My family calls it barn tea (affectionate).

Give me a piece of tech with onboard software, give me a game, give me an email client. Charge me once, give a couple of years of support.

Nice to read some danmei for a change. This was surprisingly entertaining.
You know what's done wonders for my cooking? Accepting that it's okay to take shortcuts. I didn't need to chop a single thing for today's lunch, yet I've got a pretty mean risotto with flavourful toppings.

I don't usually drink shincha, so I expected to fuck up the brewing the first time, but actually it turned out really well.
-27°C is in no way fun. And yet, it's still 20 degrees warmer than the coldest weather I remember, so what am I even complaining about?
But fuck it's cold.
Oh hell.
