This image was inspired by the arc of a character who grew up deeply entrenched in a system and world view, and as she grew, found herself more and more critical of that view until she, and some pals, rebelled and f**ked some s**t up good and propper.

I have historically had a bugger of a time posting anything on the socials when I am otherwise so upset with so many things going on. This is a piece which in some respects channels that frustration. So, hey, here is art!

Thanks! The mouse honestly makes me slow down and ask “is this next mark worth the pain in this ass?” and hopefully you only make marks where the answer to that is yes! And then hopefully you paint like that all the time…

I often find learning comes from getting out of my own way. Sometimes unlearning bad habits. I also think when you dive deep a craft becomes inextricable from who and how you are, so you end up sorting yourself out as much as the craft.
