Being confident about what you do and don't know and not being a solo operator spanning a bunch of work beyond your capacity is a good thing. AI lets people stop doing that sensible balance between knowledge, work, and relationality.

IMO this gap in confidence around critical thought is probably *driving* some adoption of AI technologies, on account of people who lack that self confidence feel like an AI assistant will help them compete with people who know they're smart.

It's like, maybe you don't have Dunning-Kruger Syndrome now, but if you use AI, you will have soon.
