Play as every character at least twice to have a better understanding of their mechanics and cooldowns to improve as X. People say he's simple but he's actually incredibly tactical. Don't be afraid to drop someone you're chasing for someone more vulnerable/on cooldown as well.

Drawing a card when a creature with haste or flash dies is clever, but I would have made his second ability something like "💀⤵️; sacrifice a nonland permanent, NMI gains lifeline and deathtouch for one turn."
