The artwork for my upcoming @heritageopenday event has a boat sailing on a river made of candy floss clouds, and I really want to share it. So near to being ready, but not near enough to share. And I’m very tired.

As usual, I’m working on seven things. And, as usual, all seven will be ready at roughly the same time. And I don’t think that’s the best way of working.

I want more music that sounds like the theme tune to World in Action.

I’m not 50 yet again. It keeps happening. Every year the same. Maybe next year.

About three days after sending a badge design off for production, I worry if it’s any good, or if it might be a mistake. It’s useful at those moments to remember the idiom ‘The die is cast’, mainly because when it comes to metal pin badges, it’s literally true.

There once was a Leeds dinosaur, and I asked people of Leeds what it should be called. Alan Bennett was the overwhelming response. It was a big thing on what was then Twitter. Probably too niche for a badge, but I do keep thinking about it.

I’m in favour of 16 and 17 year olds having the vote. But everyone who didn’t get to vote at those ages should also be asked how they would have voted. History should then be altered to reflect any possible change in electoral results. Actually, wasn’t this a #DoctorWho episode?

Looking for some live music to listen to while on the cross trainer for an hour, and I thought of Pink Floyd. Actually, just one track might do it. Actually, I could probably get two or three sessions out of the track’s guitar solo alone.

Just heard a song playing in a bar by a band whose singer owns one of my t-shirts.

‘Golden Ears’ (the badge) has been joined by another of her golden-eared feathered friends. A limited run of 30 A5 prints, beautifully hand screen printed in gold locally in Leeds by the amazing Prints of Thieves.

Remember that old Leeds venue sign I was able to rescue last year? Actually four in the end. Well, one now has a permanent new home (and frame) thanks to Northern Guitars. Much better than being stuck in my hallway.
