I feel like this game is maybe too easy on easy mode cause half the time the enemies just stand around looking at me not attacking 😬 idk if that's a general game thing or a difficulty thing tho

I love reading horror and I love listening to it and watching it but I've always been too chicken shit to play horror games 😬
but today I started Dead Space... on easy of course cause I know how bad I am at aiming guns at stuff that's coming towards me in games 🙈

Stuff like that is even worse cause we're so used to having them in our lives and researching when a place got every single little thing is exhausting 🙃 partially also why i didnt go for a fake medieval time period but closer to an early industrial revolution 😬

Writing fantasy is fun until you decide certain words don't exist in your world (like anything god or devil related) and then you just live with the constant anxiety that one word slipped through out of habit and you didn't catch it during edits 😔

(Even though magical elements definitely exist they're just not talked about as magic)

So also phrases like "magically appeared" don't exist because magic doesn't exist but also how do I talk about the fox that can talk and just ... magically appears places?

I am my own worse enemy for no reason

Sometimes as a writer you take completely random decisions that impact your writing way more than you thought but you've already committed to the decision so now you can't backtrack no matter how much it sucks.

I decided that magic doesn't exist in my story so no character ever talks of it

Sad stuff could definitely work, i need to see if I have enough stuff that could fit 👀

I make lists of all the unread physical books I own that also exist as audiobooks and then pick a random one for my next listen so I need to find a theme that I already own a bunch of books in (i'm also including the audio dramas I wanna listen to). Right now I'm thinking wide, maybe general sci-fi🤔

I was reading/listening to scary stuff all October and I like having themed months like this so I need to come up with something for november 🤔 just not sure what

And I don't have to get angry at them when they're misbehaving during their lessons or during break (well, except when they're in the library) 😌 so easy to be the cool aunt like this 😂

(I don't think they'll be that messy, they're good kids, and their teacher agreed to it in the end, I just like fueling their chaos if it doesn't involve the library lmao)

Yesterday some kids came to me with a petition to allow them to have a halloween party in their classroom and of course I signed it, I won't have to deal with any of the mess :D

The universe knows that if I saw Del Toro's Frankenstein in theaters it would lift me out of my depression and that's why it'll never, ever be in cinemas anywhere close to me

I'll add them to the pile of audio books then 👀 I also decided that I finally wanna get through all the Percy Jackson books (and relating universe) now that I work in a primary school so my pile is very big right now 😂

Which is like double the amount of books I got through per month in previous years.

If we're talking /reading/ reading though, I've gotten through 1 in like 6 weeks lmao. Bless audio books for existing (wish more indie books could afford to have audio books but I know it's financially unrealistic)

At the beginning of the school year the 2 people who'd helped out at the library before were mostly reassigned to other parts of the school which means I now kinda have to do the job of 3 ppl but also I've never had this much time to get through audiobooks before 👀 already listened to 7 this month

I'm kinda curious about starting it even though I've heard a lot of mixed things about it but it's a classic and I'm currently getting through 2 ~ 3 audiobooks a week so maybe it's worth trying it out 😅

I think I should be able to allow myself a day of nothing but playing Hades II and napping (and driving home from the con) even though I have a mountain of editing work, house hunting stuff & just regular chores to get through.
I just hope my guilt will agree with me tonight

If Supergiant ever makes a Hades III with Macaria (super obscure and minor character in myth, Hades' daughter) as the playable character I will be so unbelievably sat. Idk how they will iterate on Hades II but I believe in them.
