Husband and Dad trying to put smiles on their faces. I also talk about the Pelicans in front of a mic (proof positive that there are too many mics around.)

I have never once woken up in my life & worried about Iran would do, aside from in response to the US doing something stupid

…because they’re professionals and the regression would take place.

Offense could not keep up with the Clippers math game and the BeatEmDown commenced.

This will sound blasphemous but the offense is to blame for this loss.

22.2 TOV rate in the first half.

37.8% from the field in the 2nd half (back to back, so this was expected.)

Clippers made more 3s in the 2nd half (11) than they did in their previous 2 games (10…)

Live from Madison Square Garden, I got a chance to cover UConn vs. St. John's tonight, and I'm here with a quick postgame report as the women's college basketball season is officially over. @blackrosiemedia.com

Clippers snap 3-game losing streak, beat Pelicans 137-117

Outscored Pelicans 36-9 off turnovers

Only player over 30 minutes was Jordan Miller (32:13)

Golden State has ruled Curry, Curry, Butler, Porzingis, Richard out for Monday vs Clippers. Gary Payton II is questionable

TBF: he’s had this same look all of 2026.

As @lawmurraythenu.bsky.social pointed out on Friday, the Clippers shot a combined 10/45 from 3, in their previous 2 home games, so this regression was bound to happen (17/36.)

The Pelicans inability to value the basketball (36 points allowed on 17 turnovers + 10 LAC OFF REBs) was the death knell.

Wokeness is anytime anyone outside of a very specific demographic exists.

02.03.2026 04:22 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

The Pelicans now have a 50 eFG% & only a 36.8 OReb rate.

The glass was indeed, half empty.

This has been a bad 90 seconds for the Clippers.

John Collins has injured his shoulder.

Sinners is a story of community of Black and Asian people, wanting to have a good time, and white folks fucking it up.

What does that have to do with β€œwokeness?”

Yup.

Clippers outscoring Pelicans 29-9 off turnovers through three quarters

And Brook Lopez decided to take LA’s 3-point drought problem into his own hands

AD just made a great point on the broadcast:

DJM and DQ should play well together offensively, since Murray loves the pocket pass and Queen doesn’t have the athleticism to finish lobs.

12/25 from 3, in 3 QTRs.

55/48/91 splits after 2 days off.

Regression to the mean was bound to happen.

The Clippers are now on an 8-0 run since this miss call by the refs.

02.03.2026 03:47 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Brook Lopez hit the ball, how is that a double dribble?

First half 3-point shooting in Los Angeles

Entire Sacramento Kings team: 2/14
Luka Doncic by himself: 3/6

He's not making headlines again, but Bryce is defending well & absorbing fouls bc of the lack of defensive bigs who can soak up fouls (Looney I'm looking at you).

02.03.2026 03:38 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Brook Lopez’s reactions to foul calls cracks me up every time.

DeAndre is in front of Collins when he commits the foul!

For all the grief I gave his play last season, he posted a +2.7 dEPM, which actually made him a neutral player in 2024-25.

If he maintains that, and is slightly better offensively, I may have to give a mea culpa.

02.03.2026 03:23 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Glass half empty:

The Pelicans are down 6 despite having a 61.4 eFG% and a 52.2 OReb rate

Glass half full:

The Pelicans have a 22.2 TOV% and are only down 6.

The perspective is yours to make.

02.03.2026 03:18 β€” πŸ‘ 4    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 1

02.03.2026 03:06 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Dejounte has been a menace defensively since coming back.

JDub has pinpointed the issue with the Pels here. The Pels are solid at the math parts of efficiency & creating shots when they apply themselves. But they have lots of record scratch moments that are compounded by losing the possession game over & over. Borrego has to figure thus out.

02.03.2026 03:03 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I’ll go one better:

I’ve never liked that players could shove bigs, in the air, who attempt to catch lobs.

Any chance where the defender can undercut a player should be reviewed for a flagrant.

02.03.2026 03:03 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Good job by the ref for telling DJM Benn Math didn’t mean to undercut him…

…but that’s a DANGEROUS play, man.
