Even if politics is not your thing, the interview with Graham Platner (an oysterman running for the US senate) is one of the best I’ve heard when it comes to the healing powers of the ocean.

We are so sorry to hear the passing of Jane Goodall and join the global conservation community in mourning her loss, and in celebrating an astonishing legacy that will carry on.

Her curiosity and compassion will continue to inspire us all to care more deeply for the living world.

From Pixels to Pasts: Uncovering the Value of Shipwrecks Through Social Media | Historic England A new study examines how social media platforms can illuminate the social values of shipwreck heritage.

"Once proud symbols of Fleetwood’s booming fishing industry, these vessels were left behind when the tides of fortune turned during the Cod Wars and EU fishing quotas."

Research shows us how photos reveal our feelings around shipwrecks.

Our tour guide said that there is a bit of a human-wildlife contract as it’s perceived the cormorants eat a lot of fish impacting fisheries. Is that the case?

While I wish ASCs were 100% social science 😜, one of my favourite things about them is stepping out of my comfort zone.

I was truly fascinated to learn more about marine sand and its extraction.

Annelies de Backer brilliantly told us how sand extraction disturbs food web dynamics.
