For example (and yeah, it is very nitty), the Linux Kernel style leaves the placement of after-statement-comments quite open, allowing their placement to be flush with the statement, or starting at a certain column (like 33), or flushed to the end of the line.
Everyone so far seems to respond positively on the idea. OK.
But, for this to work without friction, doesn't that require a quite precise #codestyle? Otherwise, there's going to be some poor sod that configures his editing process as well as possible, and then fights with the CI 'cause they […]
#programming #codestyle #enforcement, what do y'all think or feel regarding that?

This one started out life as "a zine about how computers represent data in binary", but then once we'd explained how numbers work we ran out of space. But a lot of what computers represent IS numbers so I still think of this as the "binary zine" […]

I find LLM generate text recognisable by the structured word vomit before anything else.
@spiezmaestro
I saw this, and can only wholeheartedly agree.
It's really that we ('cause yeah, me too) are taking on being sysadmin for a small set of people, and documenting should be an important sysadmin responsibility. There's just no way around that.
Thanks for the tip of tools!

I small companies, it's quite often the sysadmin.
@mrundkvist what makes political dissent in a democracy acceptable is the fact that all participants agree to play by the rules. The very idea that there are rules applying to all is anathema to Fascist thinking.

Why would that new org be more reliable in the long run?

'So let’s rewrite the new OWASP item. It’s not “Software Supply Chain Failures”. It’s more accurate to say “Collection of random software I found in the couch cushions that I don’t understand and we don’t know where most of it comes from”.'

Jag är inte nån större vän av högern.... men alltså, just den här grejen hade jag inte ens rest ett ögonbryn åt, alldeles oavsett vilken stadsminister vi haft.
Visst kan man prata om principfrågor, men hur stelt måste det vara?
I'm pondering if I should...
