โ€œHey Tadhg, can you lock up our scrum after running around for 60 minutes for the rest of the game? Thanks!โ€

So we over flog the main guys a la Tadhg 'needs a rest' Beirne and then under-play the talented kids? Seems to me like that might come back and bite us

Really interesting comparison from Huw here. That was one hell of a 20s team and appreciate they don't always make the step up, but so many of them falling off the radar..

Tough dilemma for Ireland going forward.

Against the top 5 (๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท) since RWC 2023:

Played: 10
Won: 3
Lost: 7 m

Do you stick to the kick-pressure, low phase count game that you might not have the cattle for

Or go back to the high possession game that teams seem to have largely figured out?

I've been a bit of a negative nellie this week too but been told in no uncertain terms by my Welsh family and colleagues to put a lid on it. Glory days over for now, but so much talent knocking on the door (even in Munster)

Really missed him in the lineout v Castres. Afaik just a minor neck injury, so hoping he's back soon. Yes they've both been ridiculously unlucky with timing unfortunately

Tom Ahern also out at mo but don't think long term

Saw possibly the most unhinged take on Irish rugby from a Leinster fan this morn. Apparently Gavin Coombes is responsible for all the toxic provincialism and Andy Farrell was right to ditch him for parading his URC medal about. I mean????

I think a lot of people think the point of sports is that your team will win and then you will be happy. That is not the point of sports. The point of sports is to be sad in a group

Young people love Plaid and hate Reform

There has been a lot of talk about Reform being really effective at reaching young people.

However this polling suggests that just 5% of those aged 18 - 24 would vote for them.

Labour have got to get it into their heads that far and away their biggest threat in Wales is coming from the left.

Over 50% of their 2024 voters have gone to Plaid/Greens. Just 10% are going to Reform.

Being tough on immigration is hurting, not helping them.

Are Wales the reason Ireland have a set piece problem? Ireland may remain at the top of the world rankings but an increasingly unavoidable truth is emerging: Irish rugby has a set-piece problem. And despite headlines focusing on the national side, the iss...

A look at how the game of rugby has changed due to law tweaks, how Irelands tactics have changed since the last RWC and why Irelands development pathways and selection policy at national level have made its set piece extremely vulnerable.

Sad that Connacht did a Connacht but not begrudging Ospreys anything this year. The heart and soul of those lads to fight like they do in the face of their shit show of a union. Ymlaen!

Just left the Rec. Awful experience. Watched Munster play and lose all over England but have never come across such lairy and downright abusive home support. Bath fans, do better (or go watch the football)
