Yes. Tcp has more overhead, but more solid and does fine for my browsing/streaming workloads vs udp...

Currently able to do openvpn tcp to my vpn provider, would prefer that to udp...

a lot of the kde and xfce applications are packages or ports in #FreeBSD. After doing two successful in place upgrades (14.2 -> 14.3 and 14.3 -> 15.0) I feel comfortable enough to set up the inspiron as a co-daily driver with #Slackware. Wish I had a Thinkpad to put it on...

I would also add AIDE for files stem integrity checking, rsyslog and syslog-ng for log aggregation /SEIM functionality

Good list! I'd likely go with freebsd for the os as it has wide app compatibility like Linux and a superior network stack. For ids Bro and Silk are alternatives to snort (Tho snort has been my favorite until cisco bought them)

Ok so not as smooth as I'd like but it was all on me!!! Getting dependency and tls errors. Come to find out, my clock was out of whack by 2 weeks!!! Now things are flowing and will hopefully get there in a bit. Check your clock before upgrade!!! #FreeBSD #BSD #Slackware
