Apparently, he doesn't understand the difference between fired and laid off with 10 months notice. Not surprising, at all.

After two days, he's now at the, "Well, seems to give me good cuddles. Applauds and praises me when I relieve myself outside. Has really good treats when I'm a good boy, but not as many as I'd like.... I think I'll keep my new human," stage of puppyness.
