It was September 2023. I was pretty much fed up with Xitter. One day @kaleido.bsky.social tweeted that he has a few invites and I asked if I could have one... and boom, we're here!

Despite a lot of cons this site has, I'm happy😊

Always hated twitter, had only joined when some friends encouraged me but I could feel how it was affecting me negatively just being there. As soon as I saw someone offering up an invite code to here I jumped ship and never looked back.

I heard some grumbling about it a few years ago, and then one of my mutual offered me an invite code. I had been looking for a replacement for the bird, so I had also joined HiVE, Artfol, Cara… and one or two others. Bsky stuck.
