It was huge in Japan in the 80s, took another decade or two to catch on everywhere else. Definitely very influential. It was a lot of people from my generation’s intro to anime, including me lol

My understanding is that Dragon Ball had one and it sold a lot of manga. There were tournament arcs before (especially in sports anime) but not as popular. Lots of anime/manga is an ouroboros of tropes honestly.

Drum teching and stage handing at a festival today! It’ll be my first time ever bringing my entire 6 piece drum kit on stage.

Is there a German word that expresses the felling of getting into a crazy-hard RPG battle and burning through all of your rare, high-end healing items in your desperate effort to stay alive, only learn about 15 minutes in that it was secretly an unwinnable story battle?

Double release day! Asheville NC band Drowning Leo is a little bit pop punk, a little bit rock and roll. Sonically, this song is the latter, though I'd call the lyrics punk in their disdain for people eager to believe anything but the truth.

Following that initial session, we met occasionally and added overdubs and tweaked arrangements until each song felt right.

For the mix, we gravitated towards aggressive and ratty sounding tones, pushing a bit harder into saturation and compression than normal.

Making this EP was a collaborative and rewarding experience. We kicked things off with me pulling double duty as a session drummer and tracking engineer, learning and revising parts as we jammed out the songs together.

It's release day! Black Mountain songwriter Andy Hughes uses humor and absurdity to exorcise his demons. As a producer, I helped to focus his ideas and energy into tight, fun, and fearless songs. Molotov is the result.

Oh totally, I meant that the bugs will get into the tomatoes outside if you let them ripen too much on the vine. There is seemingly no amount of neem oil that actually keeps them away 😅

Oh good! Most of mine are still green lol. Seems like it’s either pick them early or the caterpillars get into them first
