Honestly I still feel like a needy little girl that will never be 100% okay. I'm not asking for pity. Just sharing my feelings. Years of trauma leave a toll on the human mind, body and spirit. I want to work on this. 🙏

Work is severely understaffed today and the manager asked if anyone can stay until closing so I came in at 8 AM and I'm leaving at 8 PM. I pride myself in being a good worker. 😎

Along with being an alcoholic/addict in recovery, I am also in recovery from an eating disorder (binge eating, anorexia, restrictive eating), self-harm, shopping, and compulsive sex. The 12 steps are helping me with all of those addictions. 🙏

It's way too busy at work lately. Like overwhelmingly. I love to work but burnout is a real thing. I can't wait to relax this weekend and do lots of self-care. 💗

Home group member won't stop drinking and wants to get out of detox so he can drink more. My friend from the same group thinks he's ready to die. We're gonna see if we can go visit him in detox. Addiction is the devil 😢

The impending Medicaid and SNAP cuts make me want to cry. I know I need to stay focused on today but I also want to live in reality. I may lose my job next year. There's no use in making sense of this. I see no point. I just need to accept and adapt. 💔

Aww my dad wants to host a party for my 5 year sober anniversary in February. He's so sweet! Of course I live one day at a time but I see nothing wrong with getting excited about sober time. For me, it brings joy and happiness. 🥰

I LOVE Bret Easton Ellis' writing. It's so hypnotic and sumptuous. And of course, disturbing at times but hey the world we live in can be very disturbing lol.

The bursitis today is pretty bad. Thankfully it's mostly located in my right hip. Chronic pain is not for the weak. I could easily be a miserable person that takes it out on everyone and anyone around me but I try my best not to.
