A bathroom ban, sports ban, tricare coverage ban, pride flag ban, and more for trans people were attached.

He's right, and it's not just Brazil.

Around the world, at least 31 democratic leaders who committed similar crimes have been jailed or banned from office since 2010. The failure to hold Trump accountable in the US was a unique and systemic failure of our institutions and political culture.

Which has been completely obvious for *decades* and which is why trying to use policy to fix "reasonable concerns" is a fucking ludicrous strategy. You have to just *tell people they're wrong* when they're wrong, because there is literally nothing that will placate them.

In a general, non-state-secrets way, it's very cool to see people's research evolve. I've been listening to these same folks share their ideas every year since 2018, and the arc of science moves towards truth the same way the arc of history moves towards justice.
