Oh, and if you’re going to cry accessibility, you better actually be disabled, or you can kiss my dented, oft-plagiarized ass.

Everyone’s always sure their use of AI is righteous, responsible, justified but other people’s are wasteful.

Unless you are in a very small, highly trained subset of people, it’s every bit as damaging as others’.

Save yourself the time and don’t protest to me with your whatabouts.

A good technology clearly offers benefits that outweigh its costs

AI does not

(And frankly, it hasn’t really been, given even its cancer-identifying status has been vastly exaggerated.)

FFS, it’s killing people, driving them from their homes, adding to the enormous debt we owe nature, and literally driving people insane. Unless it’s lifesaving, I don’t want to hear it.

If more people spoke out, acted out, we wouldn’t be here. And now you want me to be nice to people who want to use tools that as they are are frankly evil?

Maybe in a different world we could have developed safer ways to do all this.

But they were permitted to go about it this way, and that’s how they plan to carry on.

It’s not that there are zero use cases for AI.

It’s that there are very, very few that justify the enormous expenditure of resources and rapacious exploitation of labor.

So, one of many things you don't seem aware of is that in research, it's not just gathering what you were looking for, it's running into what you weren't looking for. Falling down rabbit holea is an absolutely critical part of the process. This won't do that because YOU have to make connections.
