I don't know what you mean by lined up? Even if a Feb starts on a Wednesday, there will still be 4 Wednesdays, 4 Thursdays, 4 Fridays, etc. unless it's a leap year

Not close to anyone in Scotland receiving benefits, but from when I worked in this area, my suggestions would be citizens advice, Shelter (for housing), the gov.scot and social security scotland sites where gov.uk is unhelpful, and benefit calculators on entitledto, turn2us and advice.scot

Universal Credit is a national benefit so most advice about it will be applicable regardless of where you live - there are some very minor differences with it in Scotland (i.e. you can choose to be paid biweekly rather than monthly), but the calculators should all broadly be correct.
