Today, I found out that the Department of Defense banned the Well-Read Black Girl anthology by Glory Edim. I was one of its contributors.

I'm really hurt right now. So if you have it in you, please buy books by Black women from independent bookstores.

It would be a shame to encourage folks to use banned book lists to do strange things like
-check them out regularly at the library
-request the library order them if they don’t have them
-buy them
-start or support banned book clubs
-organize a banned book kids story time
A real shame

Everyone needs to see this. Be ready to deny access, even if you don't know any immigrants. Let them waste time and you might save a family somewhere else. #Disobey
