2) because it’s been devalued by people around him, he wouldn’t think of it as a viable source of help
3) he doesn’t have enough control over the output and is afraid of flooding the room

Anyways I’ve used up my thoughts I feel. Thanks for listening to my thoughts about why scarabia are two phases of the same moon

The new moon is also associated with darker parts of human stories and I think snake whisper and how jamil attempted to move unseen can very much be associated with the new moon

Jamil is so important and needed for scarabia but is often unseen. That’s also true of the new moon. The moon is still there playing its part but is unseen.

Now to transition from Kalim full moon to jamil new moon. A full moon can be seen in the day sometimes but a new moon won’t but the moon is still there.

The moon is also associated with the tides and controlling them and kalim’s um and just general control of moving things with magic is very moon based of him

(Not to say that Kalim doesn’t generate light b/c there’s a reason he’s associated with the sun but we’re not talking about that right now)

Let’s start with kalim as the full moon. The light that kalim shines with exists because based on his background, the light he shines with is not what he generates but what he reflects from his circumstances.

so I associate kalim with the full moon and jamil with the new moon. if you think about it, I feel like that makes a lot of sense
