Esim. seuraavanlaista: houkutellaan hyvässä nousuvaiheessa olevia nuorehkoja tutkijoita, annetaan kilpailukykyinen vakkaripesti ja esim. 10:n vuoden rahoitus tutkimusryhmälle milli / vuosi starttirahalla. Vaikkapa Sitra voisi keksiä itsensä uudelleen ja ryhtyä tuollaisen rahoittajaksi

Toki tämä tarkoittaa uusia ideoita ja kunnon panostusta (ml. palkkoihin ja muihin resursseihin) ja business-as-usual tuskin tuottaa tulosta, etenkin kun muillakin mailla on sama juoni mielessä

Got it. An alternative would be to equalize outcomes (e.g., income) when inequalities arise from conditions that are hard and questionable to treat (a no-child policy would be the ultimate equalizer of inequalities bw kods, but maybe not so smart either)

Just following up on Martin’s point, my intuition is also that bw-processes are more important for inequality (and I’ve rarely done any within stuff myself) but the twin study results especially have made me wonder to what extent is it simply because that’s the way we’ve learned to think about ineq
