I had a really rough time when I was 18 despite some bright spots. I think what I'm pining for is being in a pre-9/11 world and also still having my whole life ahead of me.

Did that with the intention of pushing people towards using AI. "This is too complicated, I'll just use the AI tool"

All of these tools used to be so user friendly and intuitive. Yes it was better to have training in them, but most people could pick it up and figure it out. Even before they started shoving the AI in there they started changing things to make it so difficult to use.

I've been using Microsoft and at first, you could opt out of the AI features. They ran a couple more updates and since then they either removed the option to disable the AI or it's there but they've made it harder to find.

So driving an hour or two for a show feels silly?

I didn't realize until I went to other parts of the country that people frequently drive an hour or two to other cities around them to go to concerts and this is apparently a thing where it's less of a thing here! Maybe because we have more live music here per capita than a lot of places?-

I have lived the quarter for two months and have not had beignets once since then.

Maybe being surrounded by them is having the same effect on me as being surrounded by drunk people (I'm not so interested in drinking alcohol)

I lose whole months to ADHD sometimes, and I don't even have a kid. It's terrible. And then everyone just calls you flaky!

I do love going from alt rock to hip hop to pop unapologetically, it's great.
