I had a really rough time when I was 18 despite some bright spots. I think what I'm pining for is being in a pre-9/11 world and also still having my whole life ahead of me.

All of these tools used to be so user friendly and intuitive. Yes it was better to have training in them, but most people could pick it up and figure it out. Even before they started shoving the AI in there they started changing things to make it so difficult to use.
It makes me wonder if they -

04.03.2026 15:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So driving an hour or two for a show feels silly?
04.03.2026 15:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I didn't realize until I went to other parts of the country that people frequently drive an hour or two to other cities around them to go to concerts and this is apparently a thing where it's less of a thing here! Maybe because we have more live music here per capita than a lot of places?-

I have lived the quarter for two months and have not had beignets once since then.
Pastries, hell yeah. But not beignets.
Maybe being surrounded by them is having the same effect on me as being surrounded by drunk people (I'm not so interested in drinking alcohol)
I lose whole months to ADHD sometimes, and I don't even have a kid. It's terrible. And then everyone just calls you flaky!

It takes MANY creatives to bring stories to life. Exhausting & abusive as the industry is to work in, the community & collaboration by such a wildly diverse group of people is inspiring.
It's bigger than the art, than Hollywood, than me.

American Jews have been TRYING to tell folks that yes, AIPAC is evil, & fuck them, but Christian Zionists in the US outnumber Jews IN THE WORLD & have risen to power in all areas of our government, & they want to bring the End Times (& kill all the Jews btw), AND THIS IS WHAT WE WERE TALKING ABOUT.

People in the south are not stupid, politically unengaged, nor are they apathetic to what is going on. They are HEAVILY disenfranchised.
THAT is how the South, stays red. Itβs not because everyone there is staunchly republican, but because they purposefully disenfranchise anyone that isnβt.
