Consider this Reason #474836 that we should never change our clocks again. Signed, the AZ native who never did this growing up and is still confused every time it happens as an adult.

#TeamNoSleep with an early-morning flight AND springing forward clearly did a number on me.

Apparently I cannot count to five. The sprain is to his right pinkie (not ring) finger, which is the same finger he sprained last season. He really struggled to shoot while trying to play through it before eventually being shut down.

Per the Sixers: Tyrese Maxey will miss the next two games after spraining his right fifth (ring) finger. He will undergo additional testing and consultation in the coming days to determine a treatment plan.

Maxey chose not to speak postgame, but was in the locker room for much of the open period and looked to be in good spirits. He was using both hands to eat a Chik-fil-A sandwich and type on his phone.

More specifically, it’s an injury to a finger on his right hand. I’m told he will undergo more testing tomorrow. The Sixers are staying overnight in Atlanta before flying to Cleveland tomorrow.

Maxey just emerged in said hallway and walked into the locker room. He did not have any sort of wrap/protection on his hand at the moment, though I imagine it was just getting examined in some way.

Nick Nurse did not have any information beyond Maxey was going to get X Rays. His parents are among those here in the hallway outside the locker room.

FINAL: Hawks 125, Sixers 116. But even more pressing is the status of Maxey, who left in the final seconds with an apparent hand/wrist/arm injury.

Maxey has his hand tucked into his jersey and going straight to the locker room. He looks quite woozy/shaken up.

And now Tyrese Maxey is hurt. He was rolling on the floor to get out of the way from that loose ball.

Danger zone now for the Sixers, who trail 110-102 with 6:05 to go. Sure looked like there was a missed travel call on one of those Hawks threes, but...

And it begins with an eight-second violation on the very first possession.

Big non-Maxey minutes coming up, with the ixers beginning the fourth with Payne-Grimes-Watford-Walker-Drummond.

The third quarter is over. The Sixers surrendered the lead and now trail 97-94. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Think that crafty finish got the bench even more excited than the dunk.

And now…the third quarter looms

Sixers 73, Hawks 66. A terrific start for the Sixers fell apart late in the second, but they never fully surrendered the lead. Maxey with 22 points. Oubre with 15 on 6-of-8 shooting plus 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Sixers shot 65 percent from the floor and 8-of-13 from deep -- but Hawks also shot 64%

And then the Sixers throw the ball away on the inbound out of the timeout. Sheesh.

I know it's not quite the third quarter yet but this double-digit Sixers lead is down to five with 2:45 to go before the break.
