Tbf that is still football and we are not good at winning against it. If LFC brought their energy level and tactical application for even 2 x 20 mins it's a comfortable win, but we have lost the ability even to do that. Best GK, CB and MF in the league and the team still less than sum of the parts

Seems odd that a whole league has opted to bin all laws around fouling defenders and GKs because one team scored frequently from corners. And yet not officially changed any rules..

Eh bien, there's definitely debate, but it's a good shout. The longevity, consistency of output and almost unparalleled availability of Salah put him up there. Stevie feels a bit like a nostalgia option, unicorn footballer who could have played in any/every position on the pitch & be motm every game

Yes, and how much of this season's problems are to do with letting go established nailed on 7.5/10 players in favour of brand new theoretically 9/10 players... That plus grotesque loss of balance of defense v offense means a gross £0.4bn summer spend has managed to make the squad palpably worse! 😮

A dire list

I tend to think the team was better than Slot last season, took responsibility and got unfinished Klopp 2nd PL business done. LFC hierarchy then grossly underestimated the value of continuity, thought Slot could keep the wheels on until the player flux settled. With the Jota tragedy, wasn't possible

What a weird game LFC v Citeh yesterday. We prob should have got to HT 2 down, so could have been worse. They do have a far better bench but we had Curtis and Robbo, and their attack hadn't created anything 2H when we scored with 10 to go. VVD/Ibou/Dom/Robb/Curtis/Grav should be able to see it out 🤯

Lfc desire to attack from their own box before they've finished defending gives me the shivers
