I think Shevchenko is/was happy to know that KINO wasn´t forgotten, but actually got much more famous beyond the soviet perimeter
during those times there was a genuine fear that with the ending of the soviet union that music would of faded into the past
Post-soviet eastern europe was also no joke
Formed as Вторая Серия in 1992, Shevchenko mimicked Tsoi’s voice to preserve his presence.
It was meant to be one recording, became two albums, never officially released. Bootlegs and non-permitted redistributions and sale killed the project in 1993.

I found a forgotten KINO tribute album, "Я смотрю кино (Памяти Виктора Цоя)" recorded in 1992, just after Viktor Tsoi’s death & the USSR’s collapse. A grief project that got bootlegged, shut down, erased. Made by Viktor "Tor-She" Shevchenko

My issue was with selective definitions of extremism and being written off by identity. I didn’t communicate perfectly, yes, but I was genuinely flabbergasted and tried to quietly withdraw. Stepping away from Project Silverfish. Can’t recommend it anymore. I was muted for challenging a dangerously skewed take on extremism, then dismissed by the lead dev as a "19yo hetero" and told “we don’t owe you a debate.” The game is good. The dev behavior wasn’t. [more below]

Мастер’s 1987 debut album includes the song "SOS", which retains the leitmotif, riffs, and general structure of Смещение’s "Стихия", showing the direct musical lineage.
In 2004, Мастер remastered "Стихия" for their album "33 Жизни", explicitly acknowledging the song´s roots in Смещение
After Смещение disbanded in 1983, Lebedev stayed active in the Moscow underground scene, working as a session musician, songwriter, producer and engineer for other projects, including Мастер in multiple capacities.

In autumn 1983, Смещение disbanded. Granovsky and Lebedev left Moscow for work with the Petrozavodsk Philharmonic. Troyanskaya stayed and later performed solo, though her career was hindered by drug addiction
Granovsky then later joined up with Ария, before splitting off and forming Мастер in 1987
Under Soviet restrictions, Смещение played only about ten concerts, yet gained a dedicated underground following, especially after a performance at the Vilnius festival "Opus"
The band never released official studio recordings; only low-quality demo/live tapes survive.
They were one of the first Soviet bands with female vocals in a heavy style
Their live repertoire included "Джинсы" (Jeans), "Дорога”"(The Road), "Собака‑атом" (Atomic Dog), "Стихия" (Element), "Голодная чума" (Hungry Plague), and a cover of Deep Purple’s "Into the Fire"
Смещение was formed in 1980 in Moscow by bassist Alik Granovsky (later leader of Мастер) and guitarist Andrei “Kruster” Lebedev, formerly of Млечный путь. Joined by drummer Sergey Sheludchenko and vocalist Olesya Troyanskaya, they bridged the gap between prog and metal, disbanded in 1983.

This is where Russian metal actually starts
[more information in the replies down below]
Two of Russian metal’s most iconic bands trace back to Смещение

A lot of this feels driven by urgency: "change must happen now"!!!..
I get the fear, but refusing slow processes and debate often leads to coercion. Rshed justice tends to recreate the same harm its tying to end.
AND GIVEN how its both sides, and that its "either you or them", worries me.
