I have to mention Pascal Struijk who, it was brought to my attention, i had called out for a few sloppy passes. i may have concentrated on them a little too much in game. The conditions were difficult and his arial prowess was one of dominance.

Survival feels within reach now. If we keep this "fighting edge" Farke mentioned, we’re staying up. Winning 76% of our points at home shows Elland Road is a fortress. Onwards to Chelsea with absolute confidence, although a massively tough game under a resurgent side.

Ilia Gruev was our MOTM. With 98% pass accuracy and two assists, he dictated everything from deep. His duel with Gibbs White was epic. he completely nullified their main threat while driving us forward.

Forest grabbed a late consolation when debutant Lorenzo Lucca headed in Omari Hutchinson's cross in the 86th minute. It was a lapse in concentration, but by then, the three points were already safely in the bag.

Farke’s in game management was spot on. He brought on Dan James and Longstaff to maintain the energy when we tired. He recognized Forest’s physical threat late on and adjusted to ensure we saw the massive result out.

The third killed the game. Early in the second half, Gruev turned creator again with a low cross. Calvert Lewin adjusted brilliantly to chest the ball past Ortega for his 10th goal this season.

Just four minutes later, we doubled the lead. Aaronson sparked it, finding Justin out wide. His initial shot was parried, but he stayed calm to square it for Noah Okafor, who tapped in to end his 16 game drought.

The first goal was pure class. Ilia Gruev, who was a total engine in midfield, spotted Jayden Bogle’s darting run. He lofted a pinpoint ball over the top, and Bogle slotted it home for his first PL goal.

Tactically Farke nailed the wing back system. By doubling up on the right with Bogle and Justin, we completely overloaded Forest’s makeshift backline. The high intensity out of possession made them look lost. #MOT #GRUEV

What a night at Elland Road. A massive 3-1 win in a proper relegation six pointer. We looked clinical and dominant, moving nine points clear of the drop. The atmosphere continues to make it difficult for visiting sides and we are bloody good when we are on it. #LUFC

i am about to rewatch the game soon. perhaps i concentrated on the wayward balls too much. Its not my intention to cause anger or upset and i am not pilling on the lad. Maybe 'Mare' is too strong a word. I apologise for any upset caused

I see I may be on the losing side of the argument here and I accept that graciously. When I rewatch the game tomorrow I will bear these comments in mind.

I am not against the lad at all. I thought he was off the pace today that is all. No hatred for the man in the slightest. Very happy with the win and the overall performance and not trying to nitpick to bring anything down a tone. I just saw his passing was lacking that is all

For me he gave the ball away twice in big situations and he misplaced three left side passes one intercepted and one for a throw. His Arial game was very good I agree with that, especially that last one in the final five mins. No hate on the lad but his accuracy was sub par today as I saw it

Darlow with some wonderful saves. Okafor had his moments. Aaronson was enigmatic again. DCL doing his job. Gruev shows why he isn't a bencher as I said this kid is as good as longstaff for me (if only he had two feet). good performance. Solid. Struijk had a Mare #LUFC

First ten mins we absolutely pounded them. Next ten we had 83% possession and forest had three good attempts. Darlow makes two good saves but my lord that chip back spin long ball from Gruev was sublime. frustration in the forest camp. Here for the taking #LUFC

Forest have, however, remained dodgy until recently. Dyche forces players wide to throw non-converted balls into the box which at times looks thoughtless and wasteful. They do however have a very good side, disproportionately lower than expected.
