also the not-close 'friendships' everyone dismisses so easily - work friends, friendly neighbours, acquaintances, social media friends, friends you meet for coffee once a month, gym buddies - are highly underrated, imho. we don't all need 5 deep friendships of an intensity bordering romance.

uhm...agreed. as someone who has had very few deeply intertwined close friendships, 1 or 2 of them formative or lifelong, I'm not about to change that midway through my life. close friendship takes psychic resources, too; it's not just a support system. when it's good, though, it's world-shattering

She also likely believed another widely shared piece of "gender critical" propaganda, that there were 15,000 detransitioners seeking help to detransition on one Reddit forum alone. Again, completely and utter bollocks, but GC people have no filter for this stuff. They swallow it whole. 4/

Sarah Vaci is a "gender critical" artist who set out 4 years ago this month to create 100 portraits of "female detransitioners." To date, worldwide, she hasn't even found 100 to take part in her project, and at her current rate, it will take her 10 to 15 years to finish.
