It always feels wrong to me that Earls outrank Barons. Barons just sound more impressive. A Barony feels bigger, in my mind, than an Earldom. There's no logic at all to me thinking that, though.

Also it took me SIX events to introduce a potential love interest that I described in my notes as "pathetic wet sadboy" which I think shows really remarkable restraint on my part

"Hamlet isn't about grief" so like 1) I wouldn't say that's true to begin with, and 2) if you make things, you know that sometimes artists might sublimate their feelings about one thing into a project about a different thing. Not to frighten you, but sometimes art is even "about" multiple things.

A lot of the complaints about Hamnet not being "accurate" to the themes of Hamlet sound like they're coming from people who've never made anything. No type of art or story or anything.

It had a little label on it that said it would NOT attract indigo buntings, and for years we assumed that - for some inscrutable reason - indigo buntings must be undesirable birds (???) but it was actually the opposite, everybody wants to see 'em but this particular seed would not get you there

Years ago, in our old apartment, I got a little bird feeder for our balcony and got a bag of birdseed which said that it would attract "only desirable songbirds" and I still have a lot of questions about who decides which are the "undesirable songbirds"

IF I HAD MY WAY, for this year's 60th anniversary celebrations, Starfleet Academy would have had an episode where the characters go back in time and are virtually inserted into TNG episode The First Duty, the one with Wesley and the elite Nova Squadron at the Academy. It's SO clear to me.

Classic and iconic DS9 episode Trials and Tribble-ations, where the characters go back in time and are virtually inserted into TOS episode The Trouble with Tribbles, was part of the Star Trek 30th anniversary celebrations (along with Voyager episode Flashback)

The number of times I have seen something in Starfleet Academy and said "this is exactly like Degrassi: The Next Generation" has been more than I expected, but there's still room for even more than that

They have given me seven cadets who are all roommates and friends so I don't know why they keep doing episodes that only have 4-5 of them even showing up. I don't even think this would bother me in a 22-episode season, but it feels janky with only 10.

Okay, I WILL permit myself ONE complaint about Starfleet Academy: I don't know if it's a budget thing or a lack of interest in doing it, but the refusal to have the whole gang participate in things is getting to me. Like, where is Ocam this episode? Why did they write Jay-Den out of last episode?
