FWIW as a canes fan I don’t think this is true. Our biggest rival rn is the panthers and everyone hates the rangers but I don’t think canes fanes overall consider the devils a rival beyond being in the same division.

it would sure be a slog to do but I bet if someone took the time to track a bunch of games and note how many ‘ok that could have been a penalty but wasn’t’ moments there are, the Cats would be leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of the league.

I mean it’s ’eye test’ evidence, but it’s not ‘rough play’, it’s that the panthers commit far more infractions per game than they get whistled for. NHL reffing is crap overall but FLA is the best at exploiting the ‘game management’ of refs not wanting PPs to be too lopsided.
