The lack of logic in that statement and what is actually being implied baffles me. Bc if having 'a good man' is what makes people gay or straight, then the men making that statement would also no longer want women if they could just know 'a good man'. It is a daft thing to say on many levels.

Finland ends homelessness and provides shelter for all in need - scoop.me In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Why? The country applies the "Housing First" concept agains homelessness.

β€œIn Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

Let's Do Design Research Right! A 3-hour workshop that compels you to rethink your approach to design research, ensuring you are more effective and influential.

I heard you like critical thinking. Come hang out February 20th and learn how to encourage it in any organization that's not actively opposed.

Evidence-based decision-making is possible!

Your end of life patient now has terminal delirium. I hope it’s not because you applied a scopolamine patch, but even if you did, not to worry, there’s a very easy approach.

Great news paper, well worth a read, likely a very useful citation when justifying qualitative methods in grants as well as papers.

If you’re a federal govt employee targeted for leave or termination on the basis of your DEI work, please file an EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) complaint & retain legal counsel.

I’m a former NIH PI. Happy to refer you to a law firm that has successfully sued the govt many times!

I have a death doula speak to our nursing students when i teach our dying & death course - she is incredible (very similar impact to the chaplain interestingly - their approach is so powerful). Could you point me to where I could read more of your work on this please?

No don’t want the β€˜Pro’ version of the computer, I want the β€˜Amateur’, which doesn’t hide commands in obscure places, doesn’t want to keep updating everything all the time, and is on good speaking terms with the printer.

Recognition in the form of a Gisèle Pelicot Medal for the betterment of Womankind, with an attached monetary stipend similar to a Nobel Prize to be awarded yearly to a deserving woman is the least that could be done.
Some years there will be a need for multiple medals unfortunately.

A problem with being dyslexic and of the spectrum, which also though makes life funnier, is not always seeing what others do. First time I saw someone write 'OOO' in an email for 'out of office' I thought they were pretending to be a ghost for kicks and giggles. πŸ‘»

I would for us to do this as a proper thing. Lots do between classes but you don't necessarily get the understanding of the full program, overlap, opportunities etc.

Goldman Sachs asks in biotech research report: 'Is curing patients a sustainable business model?' Goldman Sachs warns sales from the most successful disease treatments are difficult to maintain.

I can hardly think of a better example of the moral decay in modern health care than a Goldman analyst noting that biotech cures for diseases like hepatitis are cool and all, until their success diminishes the business opportunity for pharmaceutical manufacturers.
