I saw an early screening of Hamnet and it’s a masterpiece! I predict it’ll be up for some awards but also suffer a typical backlash of “Oscar bait,” cries from cynics, but it more than earns its emotions, & is artfully constructed at every level. Yes, the novel is still better than the film!
