We may be able to trace back the current "Do Harmful Things if it Trolls the Libs" Republicanism to Reagan removing those panels the far more forward thinking Carter had installed.

My ex is an architect who frequently designs and rehabs libraries. He said one of the problems they face is having to hold on to outdated technology so they can access files on outdated media. Even when you convert files, new tech is quickly outdated. Books, on the other hand - always accessible.😊
