Hmmm. I don't have any transformation stories, but I do have a few about canid bioengineered folks struggling in an altered world.

Mud Daubers: Be glad, be very very glad that these guys are solitary. One mud dauber sting is worse than about a dozen bald faced hornet stings. Your first impression is that somehow you just got a nail driven through your cheekbone. Then it really starts to hurt.

Paper Wasps: Tiny little things, cute until a few hundred swarm you if you disturb their nest.

Bald Faced Hornets: Yellow Jackets are sweeties compared to these guys. They are notable for remembering an offender and swarming them again if the offender returns.

Sung Ali transliterates as Climbing Dog, the Lakota term for a fox. Sung is anything canid. Ali, that which climbs. So, not exactly Surname,Given name, but similar. If I used a surname it would be Manycoats, from a long tradition that there be shapeshifters among us.

We've talked privately of course, but I think this needs to be said publicly as well: I, we, probably all of us who count ourselves as your friends, grieve with you at this time of suffering and impending loss. We also grieve for you. Your pain, your suffering has its echo in each of our hearts.
