London Cycle Festival will come to Hoxton on Sun 25 May, where there will be a 2km traffic free loop. Residents are invited to take part in this community event with free activities and entertainment. There will be free bike hire available from Santander Cycles & Lime

It has offered incredible opportunties to residents in Hackney and neighbouring boroughs and I'm please to announce that Hackney has invested further in the programme to keep it running so even more Hackney residents can benefit from opportunities in the knowledge economy

Over the 5 years of the programme, LIFT has engaged over 10,000, 2,400 of which are Hackney residents; created 320 jobs, 80 apprenticeships, 1,400 work experience opportunities, 80 paid internships; and supported 150 start ups lead by local people from underrepresented groups.

The have worked with Princes Trust, WYK Digital, Shapeways, In2Science, Capital City College, Kimolian Academy, Exceptional Individuals, City University.
It has delivered employability programmes (Digital Marketing Incubator and Intro to Coding) and business support programmes
The programme has held insight sessions and employer visits to the BBC , LBIC and Google, and Hobbs 3D, opportunities fairs at Northeastern University, British Library and Amazon, employability and CV sessions, LinkedIn sessions and networking events
