Penny is still getting into mischief at nearly 13. Last night she decided to sleep under the bed then went walkabout and got stuck under my bedside table. I had a job and a half trying to get her to back up as I couldn't lift the table because of the bars round the legs.

I'm doing yoga. Doing my curling up breathing exercises. No Mummy I is not zzzzz

He looks so cosy in there. Takes me back to when each of our son's were little and went into a back pack carrier. One thought it was great to pull my hair and shout horsey. Another liked covering my eyes. The youngest hated going in. Xxx

It's weird isn't it, we once had no water in the building and were told to go to another building and use their facilities. No matter what happened we were expected to carry on working and ignore it. Had it been a private firm I have no doubt that they would've been shut down.

I used to love Woolies, when I was pregnant with my eldest they let me just take the green triangles out of the Quality Street Pick n Mix. Same son threw a wobbler in there a couple of years later. The only way to get him out was to tell him they were going to start hoovering. Xx

In winter the boiler rarely worked on our floor. One year it was so cold we kept our coats on. Couldn't put fan heaters on because they kept tripping the electric. No alternative accommodation offered despite the temperature being below 60°F. Told we could use our holidays and stay at home!!!

When I retired I decided to treat us to a new tree. The old one went in the hall. Our youngest has now claimed this for his flat so the spare tree is going up there. The one in the middle is the son's now. He's also tried claiming my swiss cheese and ficus as his lounge needs foliage 😁😁

The tree is going up on Sunday, no wreath as yet though xxx
