I’ll be the pedantic half Swedish queer/trans librarian muttering to myself in the corner.

I caught myself having _opinions_ about Alexander Skarsgård anglicising his Swedish surname, but then realised I do that too. When introducing myself in English, I pronounce Brynolf in an anglicised way. I only pronounce it the Swedish way when I’m speaking Swedish. It’s what we do, it’s not wrong.

Public figures & ambassadors walking away from organisations who abandon trans people is exactly what needs to happen. Quitting is powerful. I walked away from a union I was a member / rep of for 15+ years in September when they failed to back a simple motion at TUC on trans & non-binary rights.

I’ve just whammed myself, which is not a euphemism. I just decided to start early with the festive playlists. Now it’s Mariah and I regret nothing.

Evie seems happy with me. She’s chatty and really sweet, but has very high expectations of receiving treats every five minutes.

It’s exactly one year since I adopted Evie 😻 I trudged for an hour across waterlogged fields and an old graveyard to get to her foster home, soaking my trainers, socks and trousers (please note that this wasn’t necessary, I just made some foolish decisions and refused to turn back).

Cyber gang targets secret defence base at centre of Novichok murder Workers at the Defence Scientific Technical Laboratory (DSTL) at Porton Down, Salisbury, were alerted to the security breach this month by union officials.

The cyber attack on Prospect Union in June 2025, members were only properly informed in October. Prospect has 150k+ members. Heading from the more scouse side of the Wirral over to the fancier side for a family do in West Kirby. On the map you can also see Thurstaston which means “Thor’s stone” because a few years ago, the Norse god Thor put a big stone on top of a hill. Not sure why but the view from there is amazing.
