Anyway back to sleep I go.

The devs found a solid development pattern and got complacent, I think we can all agree on that front. But it's obvious they hear us. They're trying to get themselves out of a deep rut that they got in since Shadowbringers, and we need to be both hopeful and assured their plan doesn't worsen it.

The devs obviously should be looking forward, but also look back on what worked across the board rather than what the niche few players thing.

Stormblood had the best raid series as far as difficulty, Heavensward had great job diversity, ARR had dungeon-esque eight man raids. Just to name a few.

Like, don't get me wrong, the game is in a funky ass state at worst right now. Things do need improving in places and it definitely needs new internal code. But remember when we had:
-Omnicrafter mandatory for relics
-Role actions you had to level other jobs for (this wasnt super bad)
-ACCURACY STAT

God forbid devs try to see what's wrong and adjust, only for the goalpost to get constantly moved out from under them cuz twitter users and forum posters want the game to be inaccessible to any casual onlooker.

Nightly ventposting, FFXIV is a game I cherish nonstop despite how meh it is right now and I fuckin hate how everyone reacts when I see news about devs rethinking everything from scratch with "dawntrail bad wuk lamat bad game is slop" not even trying to have the slightest bit of hope or leniency.

Mixfest weekend over, can't believe it's gone so fast.

Absolutely the most fun weekend I've had this year. So much done, so much played, and so much cheered.
