Thank you for doing this. It can't have been easy. I am currently reading 'Queer As Folklore' and will appreciate it even more because of your courageous stand.

Stonewall National Monument (U.S. National Park Service) Before the 1960s, almost everything about living openly as a lesbian, gay, bisexual (LGB) person was illegal. The Stonewall Uprising on June 28, 1969 is a milestone in the quest for LGB civil rights a...

This is where you go to tell the National Park Service to restore the word "transgender" in its entry on the Stonewall monument.

The staff at Lush here in Manchester England are so lovely - twice in the last couple of months they have given me free stuff just to bring me a smile when I was having a rough day.

Word of the Day is one I keep posting at the end of the year, hoping its time will come.

β€˜Respair’, from the 16th century, is fresh hope, and a recovery from despair.

Here’s to a few drops of respair in 2025.

A quote from Ursula's 2016 blog post reads, "The death way or the life way? The high road of the warrior, or the river road?

I know what I want. I want to live with courage, with compassion, in patience, in peace.

The way of the warrior fully admits only the first of these, and wholly denies the last.

The way of the water admits them all.

The flow of a river is a model for me of courage that can keep me going β€” carry me through the bad places, the bad times. A courage that is compliant by choice and uses force only when compelled, always seeking the best way, the easiest way, but if not finding any easy way still, always, going on."
