I half broke my crafting rule for 2025... Don't buy new fabric until you've used most of your fabric you have. I managed to make 1 outfit but caved and bought more fabric because the pattern was too irresistible to not make. Now to wait for it in the mail.

A BJD (ball joint doll) with an 18th century yellow dress with hand embroidered rose stomacher.

Finished up the underpinnings and the petticoat and now it's figuring out what to bead on the outer dress. If you have suggestions for more decoration go ahead.

I've run into a snag. The underpinnings look awesome but the addition of the chemise has given the measurements 1 to 2 mm to the chest girth. Which means the over dress is slightly too small. I have to figure out how to alter it now... #bjd journey.

Mine started as a 3d file but I love the tactile-ness of sculpting. So I do both. I'm not super proficient with 3d yet.

Looks like she "may" be ready to cast. A few more coats of primer and I can make the moulds of plaster. I'm really happy with how she's turning out. #bjd #doll #handsewing

Love the knees and how they bend. The legs are always the difficult part for me.

Next on the historically adequate #Bjd journey. An 18th century chemise pattern drafted out. Now to make some mock ups. When all is done I'll update with a picture of all the underpinnings.
