I’ll mention, though it took time and it may or may not have been pressure from the community that made it happen, I DID hear from Wizards of the Coast yesterday. The person I spoke to was very nice and apologetic and I have no doubt they will see to it that I have access to getting a Secret Lair.

I never expected or wanted anything when I gave Dandan to the Magic community in 2016 except maybe some feedback and recognition that players were enjoying what I had created.

Well he was working off my work. Nobody at Wizards would have put together Memory Lapse and Dandan, and shared the library without me. Informed players and I know it’s mine even if they won’t put my name on it. I don’t want any money for it. I’m just worried I won’t be able to buy one.

I want to say thank you to everyone who is supporting me and acknowledging my little contribution to this game that has been a part of my life for over 30 years. I am glad I was able to put a little, but long lasting stamp on the game. That’s what really matters to me.

I’d have signed away any rights I had to the idea for a credit and a free deck. I would be happy to have something I did officially published. I guess I’ll just have to settle for that last thing and hope I can get my hands on one.

Thanks, Cal. It’s not over yet, but if they were going to reach out and give me credit I would think they would have contacted me by the time it was announced. But I am not really surprised. A little disappointed. But not surprised. It’s cool to see it in print as an official product.

I’ve not seen the full Dandan Secret Lair. I don’t really care if I get credit or anything from it. Rhystic Studies and informed players know its origins. I just hope I’ll be able to own a copy of the official release and not have them sell out to scalpers and stuff like I’ve heard can be a problem.

Yeah, at this point I expect they won’t even acknowledge me.

It's beautiful! I wish I could be there. I wish everyone luck, but I'm pulling for some Dandan friends. This is really cool. I hope it is a huge success and there is some good footage online. To think that I had a hard time getting players to try it. I won't forget.
