yeaaa i think typically you should start reeeally low and under no circumstances start it while youre on something else (like psychiatrist let me do, start max dose while still on escitalopram lmao) but it’s hard to say how much of me feeling bad was that vs general stuff

—i switched to a max dose of venlafaxine, which actually changed my life. like i hadnt known, ever, that it was possible to wake up and wanna do stuff. or have energy. ofc it uncovered stuff like adhd which could then be diagnosed and medicated!! for something with as bad a rep as venlafaxine—

ive had several over 10 years, and i guess i lucked out on the side effects for the most part. escitalopram was like no side effects really, helped me be a bit more functional, but ultimately i was on a rly low dose and it kinda couldnt carry me through heavier shit later. about 3 years exactly—
