They started coming out of the woodwork on Wednesday night. I suspect we've got another few days of this wave. Yeesh!

Oh, I don't think we need a translation. The hellscape is currently... unavoidable.
Do take care of yourself; all we can do now is hold on and hold out. And breathe despite the congestion.
For the record, it's snowing in Boston (again).

There are plenty more lurking &/or prepping for the next snowstorm.
Get some rest, because none of this is getting any easier.
Our many-feet-tall snowpiles are halved.
Despite today's high of 50°, we still have snow on the NW corner of the roof (down to a few inches).
Tonight it goes back below freezing.
Your snow will be our snow tomorrow.
Commiserations. 🌨️❄️

I will die from being struck. By a 🍐.
If I plant a tree, it will be a cherry. heh.

Not gonna happen.
UNH, for all of its faults, is trying to get responses. But Maine (and most of the US) isn't answering the phone to pollsters.
When I had a landline, I did answer polls. But now I only have a cell, so unknown callers go to voicemail.
GIGO, and the pollsters know that.
2015 trained Bostonians to gear up for snow. I have an ergonomic shovel for each adult, it's snowing again so we'll be using ours in a couple hours. And the snow broom, and the snowblower, and the long handled brush/scraper.
We're okay with 16", but Rhode Island and the Cape'n'Islands got hammered.
I have a standard midwestern (Heart of Amerikuh/Cornhusk) accent, and speech-to-text rarely understands _me_. I gave up.

Our side street was cleared by the small 'dozer with a plow front; the snow mounds at the corners are ~6' high and I cannot see past them in the minivan.
[Belmont, MA, 2 snow days because it took that long to plow so the kids can get into the schools.]
Haven't you suffered enough?
(All the rest of us definitely have.)
We've got several series on the DVR that we can catch up on as well.
Since everyone is effing exhausted (2 snow days because we got another 16" of snow and it took all 3 of us to clear the snowplow berm this am), nothing that requires exertion will happen this evening.
It looks like some very tall varietal of a bottlebrush. I've never seen one more than 20', so it might be something else.

I will be watching Inspector George Gently, I suspect.
Not a chance in hell I'm turning on a broadcast or news station this evening.
The helicopter circling over E Watertown is because of a fire:

It really is.
We stopped going in 2018 (kid telling me that Grandma is just too weird and can we never go there again).
The now senior-in-HS's violin teacher is stuck in FL, so no lesson this week.
Logan reopens tomorrow. And we get to shovel out the plow berm at the end of our driveway.
Plus they were coerced into subsidizing slave catchers and allowing them to operate in Free states.
Jackson's Hole is a standard Free Port economy; with the clear understanding that they'll produce your weird shit by whatever means, deliver it, and now it's your goddam problem.
I'd argue in Bujold's defense that Jackson's Hole has to make a profit without billionaire backing. Or, as in the case of the former slave states, without Federal underpinning of their costs.
By the 1850s, the industrialized North required more raw materials than the South could produce. 1/2

If you don't clear the snowpack from your exits now, you won't be able to get out at all tomorrow.

Every member of this Maladministration is a creepy weirdo.
Every.Single.One.
Snow Broom, Snow Blower, long handled snow brush/scraper.
The only thing I'm shoveling is stairs. Everything else gets a machine.
