You get in shonen reading mode and a fight happens and you think, "wait, how did that work?" Because speedwagon was not there on the sidelines explaining how each power works and what each character was thinking. You gotta reread and it clicks and this is much better.

I will add one last thing in that shonen for forever typically has a Speedwagon narrator type who explains literally everything that is happening and csm doesn't have that, so by the genre conventions nothing is happening. Hints and subtext are there but you have to find them.
