Good Morning

Thank you for coming to my over share. On to conquer, well, something, if I can get my mind organized. Almost unpacked.

Still trying to right my time clock. Up at 6:00 this morning, not feeling any energy. Uh, walking very painful on ankle. Physically impossible to do a heel raise on that foot.

All that’s to say, I was feeling pretty loopy by the time I reached KC, got my baggage, and found husband waiting in car. Soooooo glad I didn’t have to make that drive in the dark, and alone. Neither one would have given me pause, if well rested.

I was not sleepy at all. The time passed quickly. Last half hour of flight, I pulled a couple games out on my phone. He was such a cutie.

Meanwhile, I pulled out a sketch pad and pencil, and told him to have at it.
He did.

I didn’t know what he was drawing. Later, I realized it was a sky view, of roads below.
He added car and automobile stickers to it later. We explored together, the wonders of his sticky men, connex toys, etc.

We made fast friends. His iPad stopped giving him any access to his games. It was handed to mom, to work on parental controls. She did that for an hour, unsuccessfully.

I met a lovely little 8 year old Timothy, with big glasses, cute face, and separated from his mom. I offered to change, but she had a younger one close to her, and Timothy was loving the window.

Anyway, a bit of sleep was acquired in the 5th hour of flight.
I thought, after the with hour layover, I’d probably knock off, in the 3 hours to get to KC. Nope

I was awake most of the flight from Stockholm to Newark. I had an aisle seat. If I did start to drift off, the young man over by the window, was guaranteed to throw the blind up, and let the light stream in. It was piercing. He just wanted to see what was out there, I guess.

8 hour layovers, are not my favorite. I’m thankful that planes left and arrived on time, with no drama in between. Oh, one bathroom failed, between Stockholm and Newark. So we either had to use the one in first class, or in the very back of plane.

It occurs to me, I have developed a Swede’s love for very strong coffee. I only had one cup yesterday. Oooooofff. The headache I woke up with, this morning. We’re working on that .
