TL;DR: Gentoo Rescue achieved some milestones. New Steam Workshop update is close, and open for community testing. Demo will be removed from Steam along with this major update.

Their report said that text in "Journal, hints, profile statut and settings" was too small. Once I get a build addressing this, it'd be really helpful if you could pull-in a test-branch and confirm legibility.

Valve's Steam Deck Compatibility info screen that shows Gentoo Rescue being "Playable", with everything passing except that "Some in-game text is small and may be difficult to read".

It's only "Playable" because apparently some (optional) text is too small. If anyone has the game, a Steam Deck, and is willing to test, please reach out. For now I'm happy it's acknowledged at least 🐧

I won't say that either is easy, but I do wonder why you think saving is easier than loading. Is it because of backwards compatibility, where loading has to account for saves across any version while saving just needs to worry about the current version?
