It has never been more important to bring people together. We will and must continue to celebrate our diversity and stand firm against all forms of racism and Islamophobia, discrimination and violence.

It is great to see that construction of the new HMS Sheffield is underway, supporting thousands of British manufacturing jobs.
Last week the Lord Mayor of Sheffield attended the steel cutting ceremony in Glasgow where the new Type 26 Frigate will be built for the Royal Navy.
The development will include 36 one and two-bedroom apartments, alongside 41 two, three and four-bedroom properties.
Newstead is also a zero-gas development. All homes will have air source heat pumps instead of traditional gas boilers to make them more sustainable

Construction is underway to build 77 new council homes at Newstead in Birley. It was great to be at the official groundbreaking this week.
This is a 100% housing development. We are working hard with our partners to build the new homes that Sheffield needs.
