Researcher disputes claim that multilingualism promotes better brain aging University of Houston professor of psychology Arturo Hernandez is disputing a high-profile study published in the journal Nature Aging claiming that people who live in multilingual countries show healthier brain aging.

Analysis suggests that differences in brain aging attributed to multilingualism may be better explained by structural factors like healthcare quality and economic stability, rather than language use alone. doi.org/hbrwbs

Our historical documentary series on the history of the Cold War continues with a video looking at some of the non-military plans for nuclear weapons that were thought up by either the United States or the Soviet Union during the Cold War

Every single paper is like this. We couldn't reproduce the age-depth model in their second PNAS paper. They regularly report spikes from one layer without analyzing layers above and below. Their results can't be reproduced in the rare cases they do share samples. They get really basic things wrong.

Things are changing already, we just need to wake up.
