No! Even lazier - I cut the sprue up into strips and just paint them on that before attaching to the base.

And kept my stripes big instead

They look super! I love painting a hazard stripe or two on my 40K IW. Really wished I’d painted my Legions Imp as Iron Warriors but I couldn’t face painting tiny stripes at the time…
