fyi, ZOMBIE & BRAIN is a great publishing case study. this book was MASSIVELY promoted to independent booksellers before its release. the publisher brought it to conferences! they sent us physical f&gs! they emailed us about it! indie booksellers are how new authors break out and this is proof. 🧟🧠

I had a truly fantastic time at the #PeopleofPublishing Conference. It was great to be able to have deep dive conversations with other publishing pros. Lots of good thoughts on the state of middle grade and how much we all want to fix it. The roundtables were a highlight. I'll def be back next year!
