Prob no relation as my great-grandfather was a Russian immigrant & adopted the name when he arrived here. But it’s unusual. There’s an artist here in Kent called John Cann & a (f) composer from Oz on FB called Jude Cann Hunt.

Family have flown across the Atlantic from Mexico overnight - now nearly in Amsterdam, where they’ll get a flight to Dublin. Then drive home to Kilkenny. Long haul for 2 little boys - they went to their au pair’s wedding.

She was a very special person, I’ve known her since 1959. I’m glad to say there were about 40 people at her funeral which I watched online. It was a lovely service partly in Sanskrit.

My friend Lina‘s funeral starts in a few minutes in London. I decided not to go because I just don’t have the energy, and this makes me doubly sad. But I know other friends are going. I will watch online. It’s a sad day, but the sun is shining. #chemosucks #friendship
